Gerard’s Gambit Slot Features

You level up by completing tasks as seen above the meter at the top of the screen, and each level up takes you to a new location. The premium symbols pay up to between 8 and 20 x your stake for 5 of a kind wins, but you need the top levels to expand the grid enough to be able to land 5 of a kind wins at all.

The grid starts at 1x3 in size, and increases progressively up to 5x3 reels in the top levels, and the top levels also come with 5 low and 5 high value symbols. Wilds can land after you reach at least level 2, and wild symbols step in for pay symbols to help complete and/or improve wins.

There is no doubt that Gerard’s Gambit is a highly unusual game, and it will be interesting to see how it's received by the online gambling community. The starting level doesn’t offer much in terms of features and grid size, but it is kind of fun to see the grid and features evolve as you play. Completing the level up challenges is not too hard either, at least not to begin with, and it doesn’t take forever to cycle through all 10 levels and locations.

The visuals are excellent, as they usually are with Play’n Go, and at least you get a highly varied game with lots of exploration and change. The features that eventually come into play aren’t all that lucrative though, and the overall max win of 3,000x your stake isn’t all that impressive either. This is clearly a mid-range release aimed at the casual crowd, and Gerard’s Gambit does provide an entertaining experience that sticks out from most other games for sure. It might not rub everyone the right way, and testing the free demo game first is probably a good idea.
