It is now some 50 years since the initial national meeting of First Nations arts and culture sector. It is timely to consider another national gathering as the First Nations arts and cultural sector works towards agreement to create a National Indigenous Arts and Culture Authority (NIACA). It would also enable the national arts and culture sector a platform to discuss future directions for the sector and industry, and identify key arts and culture priorities for its development.

We anticipate this gathering will occur in the second half of 2019.

An open Expression of Interest process will be undertaken in late 2018 to confirm a presenting partner for the artistic and cultural program which will run in tandem with the summit. This will determine location and timing.
